How Do I Add Documents to a Tenancy?

You can add documents to a tenancy in two ways, create a document from a template or add an existing document directly.

Create from Template

You can easily create a number of documents from one of our templates:

  • AST Agreement – Use this to create an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) Agreement
  • Standing Order Instruction – Use this to generate a standing order instruction form for the Tenant
  • Guarantor Agreement – Use this to create an Agreement between the Guarantor and the Landlord
  • Rent Reminder Letter  – Use this to remind the Tenant that payment of rent is overdue

Add a tenancy document as follows:

  1. From the tenancy, click on the Add Tenancy Document button
  2. Choose the relevant document from the list and click on the Create button
  3. If you need to edit the document, click on the Edit button and make your changes
  4. Once you're finished, clicking on the Save button to save the changes

After creating the document, you can send it out for e-signing by create an envelope.

Add a PDF Document Directly

You can add an existing PDF document to a tenancy such as:

  • EPC Certificate
  • Electrical Test Certificate
  • Inventory
  • Check In List
  • Check Out List

Upload an existing document in PDF format as follows:

  1. From the tenancy documents page, click on the Add PDF button in the Uploaded Files panel
  2. Choose the relevant document from your device and hit the Save File button
  3. The file will be saved against the tenancy

The tenant will also be able to see uploaded documents.
